SUMMER!
A palm tree photo I took yesterday on a stroll- the day before Summer
What's a more appropriate way to start the first day of summer off without seeing Ellen DeGeneres being chased by the paparazzi in LA?! Or being invited to a Summers Eve Revel party to enjoy drinks and outdoor mingling?
Longer days and shorter nights, I welcome with open arms this time of year!
The chronology of commentaries for a modern day man in today's world. Including elements on television, pop culture, design, art, food, ideas, concepts and the mundane.

This past weekend I saw the first Summer Nights series concerts of 2011 by KPCC with NPR. The concert featured Diego Garcia in old Pasadena. This was enjoyable and a margarita was in hand!
The Album Cover is
Tranquil & Appealing!
"The Songs Conjure The Spirit Of 1970s Romantic Troubadours Like Sandro, Jose Jose, And Jobim With Introspective Lyrics, Lush String Arrangements And Delicate Spanish Guitars."

ALSO...!
A fantastic Friday evening was had at Hollyhock House, the first building by Frank Lloyd Wright in Los Angeles- located on Olive Hill just off Hollywood Boulevard. It was a fundraising celebration for restoration of the grounds and what would be his 144th birthday!

The celebration included tours, silent auction, live swing music and of course, Birthday Cake! The Art Deco Society of Los Angeles was a big contributor of the event with its included colorful members fashioned in 1920's outfits.
I was the lucky bid winner for this book;
Nice!

All I wanted today was a pudding pop. When I don't feel well this always made me feel better as a kid. Who carries them?!? I can't find them anywhere! If you haven't had one, they are the best! OJ & a movie had to do. Really, not at all close. Feeling better though!
